iPad 3 coming this March, Aluminium iPhone 5 this summer

0

A reliable source at ilounge has spoken, there will be body changes for the iPad 3, iPhone 5 and the Macbook Pro.

First of all, the upcoming iPad 3 will be 0.7mm thicker so that it can accommodate the new twin light bar system required to power the new higher resolution display. It’s schedualed to launch in March 2012 and according to the source over at ilounge, the new iPad 3

might be revealed as early as January depending on conditions.
Secondly, the source over at ilounge says the new iPhone 5 will not have the teardrop design like rumored in the past. They’ve been told that it will definitively have the much anticipated 4-inch screen and it will be 8mm longer than the previous models. It will also be using a metal casing, which is probably aluminium (Considering the fact that it will probably not use chrome on the iPhone like the iPod Touches..). Of course, the new iPhone 5 will be announced during the summer of 2012. Source also said that the upcoming iPhone will be LTE Ready.

Finally, source also claims that the Macbook Pro will definitively get a redesign for 2012 with a thinner body, much like the Macbook Air.

iPhone 5 Prototype Hands-On Experience Claimed?

8

This year, instead of the iPhone 5, the actual iPhone 4S was launched with a new A5 Dual Core Chip and a 8 Megapixel Camera. But

what about the redesigned iPhone 5 people was rumoring about? Reports are suggesting that it will be launched next year (Summer 2012) with a complete redesign like rumored prior the iPhone 4S launch.

Business Insider reported that they received source from someone who claims to have accessed an iPhone 5 Prototype. Based on his details he shared, the iPhone 5 will be sporting a 4-inch screen and the long anticipated aluminium back. Here’s the details the source cited:

- 4-inch screen
- Aluminum back
- Capacitive home button
- “Flatter” form factor
- Much faster than current hardware, but poor battery life
- 10-megapixel rear camera
- Siri prototype known as “Assistant”, which had been the rumored name for the feature until its introduction

Source also said that the redesigned iPhone 5 didn’t launch because Steve Jobs was objecting the 4″ Screen Design because he thinks it will impact the iOS ecosystem, which the company worked hard to limit.
